This attractive drive variant consists of the electric drive described which is supplemented by a range extender. A combustion engine drives a generator which itself supplies power to charge the battery. The engine and generator are mechanically not connected to the drive and are operated with at constant a rotation in order to generate the optimum effect. The charge controller is expanded by an energy management system which continuously controls loading and unloading. With this drive variant, there is virtually no limitation to the range.
